New Kirksville Website In The Works
Somehow I completely missed last Monday’s news that the City of Kirksville’s new website prototypes were available for public viewing. While I’m pretty sure that the only place that had posted about both the news and the prototypes was Councilman Todd Kuhns’ website, that’s still a full week of it having been out there without my knowing about it, I definitely deserve a slap on the wrist for dragging my heels on this one.
Now that the self-flagellation is out of the way….
Oh happy, happy day, Kirksville! High fives all around, seriously, it’s well past time we bid adieu to that ugly (though functional) duckling that’s been keeping us company and welcome something a bit lovlier into our online local lives. It’s not that the current website doesn’t work, mind you, it’s just that it’s a little…well…mid-nineties web design chic. Not the best aesthetic in the world.
The first round of prototypes are available for viewing here on Councilman Kuhns’ blog (also a pretty nifty site), although for the full effect you absolutely HAVE to start off with the city’s current website. Consider my socks thoroughly rocked.
Cheers (and tears…of joy, of course),
Casey
